Fortinet’s FortiOS 7.6 is launching at the precise moment to address critical market opportunities – particularly, the need to reduce risk, simplify operations, and address the cybersecurity skills gap.

With the latest updates to FortiOS, Fortinet is rolling out new managed services that cover all aspects of its security, improved protections for your data, smarter integrations for our central security agent, and AI-driven improvements to help network and security teams work smarter and respond faster.  In doing so, the platform enables IT teams to do more with less.

Fortinet, the industry leader in network security, said it is addressing the challenges and opportunities of the market with the latest enhancements provided in FortiOS 7.6, including:

  • FortiAI, which provides Generative AI within FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager to boost platform management, deployment of new products and features, and network monitoring among other features. It’s designed to speed up decision-making and action;
  • Data loss prevention enhancements across the network to protect and secure sensitive information;
  • Enhanced AIOps services that will improve SD-WAN monitoring and management;
  • Adding EDR capabilities to Fortinet’s Unified Client;
  • Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) and End-to-End Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) enhancements to FortiSASE

Also of note, Fortinet has announced a Managed Fortigate Service, a Managed FortiSASE Service and a FortiGuard SOCaaS, to complement existing FortiClient Managed Service. These services enables Fortinet professionals to become an extension of the customer’s or partner’s IT organization. For Fortinet partners, these services will either enable them to start selling services or to expand existing capacity and  focus on higher-value activities. Fortinet remains a 100% channel company and does not compete directly with their partners.

Overall, the new release provides “hundreds of enhancements” to its FortiOS platform.

As always, the FortiOS platform provides one operating system and environment for network security functions throughout an enterprise via the Fortinet Security Fabric - spanning more than 50 enterprise products.

In an era with increasing complexity for networks - including hybrid work environments, expanding technology platforms across campuses, and cybersecurity threats that change and expand by the minute - FortiOS 7.6 is geared toward reducing complexity while meeting a growing list of challenges.
